This release provides the ability to upload the NZ Customs Craft Names file from the NZ Customs website into Expedient and use the list to zoom for permitted Flight Numbers and Vessel Names. A new screen has been added in the Administration folder, Customs Craft Names

This screen displays the list of permitted Crafts from NZ Customs, and allows editing of the file and upload of updated files. The Load Date field indicates when the file was last added to Expedient.

The list of Crafts is used in the Import Job Registration screen.
The zoom button in the Vessel Name in the Sea Import Job Registration screen will show the Customs Craft Names list. Select from the list. Expedient will warn the user when a vessel name is used that is not recognised by NZ Customs.
The zoom in the Air Import Job Registration screen will also show the Customs Craft Names list. When a Flight Number is selected from the list the first two letters are inserted in the Airline field and the flight number populates the Flt No field.
For example, when registering a new job leave the Airline code field and Airline name field blank. Use the zoom in the Flt No field. Select Re-Query and type in ‘NZ*’. The NZ flight numbers will be listed. Select NZ053 from the list. ‘NZ’ is inserted in the Airline field, ‘053’ is inserted in the Flt No field.

If a flight number is entered that is not permitted by NZ Customs Expedient will warn the user.
The Customs Craft Names list is also available at non-Customs sites in New Zealand but Expedient will not warn the users when a non-permitted vessel name or flight numbers is used.
