This release provides the ability to view Google Maps in the Customer Masterfile following an update by Google that has removed access.
Follow the directions below to add a Google Map API Key to your Company Masterfile.
- Log in with your Google account (or create one using the SIGN UP button in the top right) and click on the “Create Project…” button.
- In the All Services list, find Google Maps API v2 and click “OFF” to switch it on.
- In the next screen, check “I agree to these terms.” and click the “Accept” button. You will now see that the button next to Google Maps API v2 has changed to “ON”.
- Once Google Maps API v2 has been turned on, click “API Access” in the menu to the top left.
- In the next screen you will receive your API key.
- Once you have your API Key, open Expedient and go to Administration > Company Details Menu > Company Details.
- Click “Update”, copy your API Key into the Google Map API Key field and press OK.
- If set up was successful you should now see the Google map within the Customer Master File.
