Release 02/09/20 – Manifest EDI – Send Export Manifest from Export Job Registration screen

In this release, we have enhanced Manifest EDI by providing users with the ability to send a job level manifest, from the Export Job Registration screen. Users will be able to send a manifest via EDI to Forwarders, Brokers, Depots and Terminals.

Please navigate to the Administration -> Interface -> Manifest EDI -> Agent Mapping screen and perform the following steps to activate this function.

To send to a Broker:

  1. Select reason type “Sending a shipment to a local Broker”.
  2. In the Broker Code field, select the code for the Broker. Use the zoom to filter on active Brokers.
  3. The Broker Ref field, this is reference code that is used in the Export Manifest file to let the Broker identify you as the source of the file.
  4. In Messaging Contacts tab, add the Broker’s email address to receive the file. The Messaging type must be set to “Sending Export File” and have a Contact Type of “Broker”
  5. In the Export Job Registration screens, the Broker Code can now be used in the Broker field which will activate the “Send to Broker” menu option.
  6.  Click on “Send to Broker” to trigger the EDI message to the Broker

To send to a Depot:

  1. Select reason type “Sending an EDI Manifest to a Depot”.
  2. In the Depot Code field, select the code for the Depot. Use the zoom to filter on active Depots.
  3. The Depot Ref field, this is reference code that is used in the Export Manifest to let the Depot identify you as the source of the file.
  4. In Messaging Contacts tab, add the Depot’s email address to receive the file. The Messaging type must be set to “Sending Export File” and have a Contact Type of “Depot”
  5. In the Sea Export Job Registration screen, the Depot Code can now be used in the Depot field which will activate the “Send to Depot” menu option.
  6. Click the menu option to send the EDI file to the Depot.

To send to a Terminal:

  1. Select reason type “Sending an EDI Manifest to a Terminal”.
  2. In the Terminal Code field, select the code for the Terminal. Use the zoom to filter on active Terminals.
  3. The Terminal Ref field, this is reference code that is used in the Export Manifest to let the Terminal identify you as the source of the file.
  4. In Messaging Contacts tab, add the Terminal’s email address to receive the file. The Messaging type must be set to “Sending Export File” and have a Contact Type of “Terminal”
  5. In the Air Export Job Registration screen, the Terminal Code can now be used in the Terminal field which will activate the “Send to Terminal” menu option.
  6. Click the menu option to send the EDI file to the Terminal.

To send to a Forwarder:

  1. Select reason type “Sending or Receiving an EDI Manifest to/from a Forwarder”.
  2. In the Forwarder Code field, select the code for the Forwarder. Use the zoom to filter on active Forwarders.
  3. Set the “Send Export EDI files to them” to “Yes”
  4. The Sender Ref field, this is reference code that is used in the Export Manifest to let the Forwarder identify you as the source of the file.
  5. In Messaging Contacts tab, add the Forwarder’s email address to receive the file. The Messaging type must be set to “Sending Export File” and have a Contact Type of “Forwarder”.
  6. In the Export Job Registration screens, the Forwarder Code can now be used in the Forwarder field which will activate the “Send to Forwarder” menu option.
  7. Click the menu option to send the EDI file to the Forwarder.
