FWB/FHL Message change
A further update to the release on 31/5 that added the OCI message component to send either the USCI or ABN for Shippers and Consignees.
We are also adding in to this component of the message the contact name and contact phone number for the consignee. The consignee name can be defined as sourcing from:
Consignee – Export Consignee Master File
Forwarder – Company- branch that is linked to the department for the Consol
Shipper – Customer Master file
Agent – Customer Master file
Note that we do not currently have the facility to record a specific phone/email for the contact name, we are passing through the applicable phone number from the appropriate master file (same as we are already sending as the shipper/consignee company phone number. This has been approved by CCN as a valid solution.
This data has been defined as required by China Authorities, however we are not enforcing that it exists on the message, it is up to you to make sure that you have the data on the appropriate master file. In each case it is the “Contact” that needs to be added.
We are working on a more comprehensive delivery that will include maintenance of default data on the various master files, and will also allow you to modify this default data on the job and consol screens. That work is currently scheduled for July.
