This release provides the ability to classify Export Only parts without having to Classify the same part for Import purposes. Previously all Parts required an Import and Export Classification.
Expedient can now store TLF’s for Exports in the new Export TLF Masterfile. The Export TLF’s can be assigned to Parts during Classification from the Shipper Invoice screen.
Any existing Export TLF’s used in your system for Export Only parts can be viewed and maintained in the Export TLF Masterfile which is available within the Export Air and Export Sea Forwarding>CMR Functions menu
Access can be restricted to this screen so only nominated users can add and maintain Export TLFs.
The TLF Masterfile within the Customs module has been updated to remove Export information including AHECC, Export UQ and the Valid for Export flag. These are now found in the Export TLF Masterfile.
The Classify Parts screen accessed from the Shipper Invoice toolbar button has been updated to make it consistent with the Import Classify Screen
Click on the
in the Description field to see a list of Parts previously classified for Export for the Client to assist with quick classification. Select a previously classified part to copy the Export TLF to the new Export part.
Expedient will now allow Documents and Notes to be added to the Export Part and the screen will show a count of Notes and Documents stored to alert users to any additional information for the Part.
If you cannot classify the part with an existing Export TLF you can quickly add a new Export TLF by clicking on the zoom in the TLF field and click ADD to access the Export TLF Masterfile screen.
The Parts Masterfile within the Customs Module has been updated to show the Export TLF classification as well as the Import TLF Classification where the Part is used for Import and Export.
The Export Classification details have been moved to a new section highlighted below
The Export classification is separate to the Import classification and shows who classified the part for Export and when. A separate Quantity Factor can be stored for Export which will be used to calculate the Customs Quantity for Export.
Where your site is creating TLF’s automatically during the part load processes the Export TLF will be created with the same code as the Import TLF. The above changes will not impact your part load processes. You will only see a change to the display of the information in the Parts Masterfile.
A Generic Export TLF report has been provided to list your Export TLF’s. The Export TLF and AHECC code has also been added to the Customs>Parts Reports>Generic Parts – CSV to show the complete, import and export, classification of the parts.
A new automatic report, code PARTSTAT03, has been provided to track Export TLFs that are no longer valid for Export. This is the Export TLF version of automatic report PARTSTAT02.
The manual Part Load process, available from Sundry>Down Load Data Files>Load Parts File and from the Supplier Invoice screen, has been updated to allow upload of Export TLF, Export Quantity Factor, Export Classified by and Export Approved by fields within the loaded csv file.
