Release 11/06/15 – AU Forwarding – Air/LCL Delivery Docket Dimensions/Partial Deliveries

Expedient now provides an update to LCL and Air Delivery Docket printing allowing partial deliveries with dimensions and volume information.  More details have been added to FCL, LCL and Air Cargo Delivery Dockets.Blocks can be placed on printing the Air Cargo Delivery Docket, and a history is kept of Delivery Docket details allow reprint. The Air Cargo Delivery Docket also has the ability to check Storage Start Date, check the Customs Status and update Air Cargo Warehouse Bins in your Bond Warehouse.

Dimensions and Volume added to LCL and Air Jobs and Delivery Dockets

The Import Job Registration screen, Delivery Details tab has been updated with new fields for cargo dimensions and volume where the job if LCL/FAK or Air Cargo.  These fields are optional.  If the information is entered it will appear on Delivery Dockets and in Carrier EDI messaging

The number of packages, weight, dimensions and volume also appear in the Delivery Docket screen.  The details in the Delivery Docket screen can be updated.  This allows you to generate Delivery Dockets for partial deliveries for LCL/FAK and Air Cargo.

The delivery type has also been added to the Delivery Docket screen allowing you to identify if the movement is a delivery to the client or an underbond move.  The flag will default to ‘Delivery’.

Carrier EDI has been updated to include Volume and Dimensions where the Carrier accepts these details.

FCL, LCL and Air Cargo Delivery Dockets – additional information

The following details have been added to the printed delivery dockets for FCL, LCL and Air Cargo

  • Load Port Code/Destination Port code after the Voyage number
  • Number of Pieces and Package Type Code from the Delivery Docket screen and the Job
  • Weight and weight unit from the Delivery Docket screen
  • Volume and volume unit from the Delivery Docket screen
  • ‘DANGEROUS GOODS’ will appear in the Delivery Job Note if the job is flagged as ‘DG’.
  • Delivery Type from the Delivery Docket screen
  • Dimensions and Dimensions unit from the Delivery Docket screen
  • Operating Hours for the Bond Warehouse where these are provided in the Customer Masterfile
  • Dehire Depot for SEA jobs where this is provided in the job
  • Marks and Numbers (one line)
  • The Container Details table has been updated for Air Cargo Jobs to show
    • the Available Date
    • Storage Start Date
    • Delivery Type
  • The footer has been updated to show the Department for the Job
  • Storage Start Date CheckIf you have a Bonded Warehouse and you want the Air Cargo Delivery Docket to check the Storage Start Date please raise a Support Ticket quoting ‘STORDTCHK’.

Where the Storage Start Date has passed the following message will pop up on selecting the Delivery Docket

Customs Status Check

Where your site is the Broker for the House Bill Expedient will check the Customs Status before generating the Delivery Docket.

  • If the Delivery Type is Delivery and the Customs Status is CLEAR or TRANSHIP the delivery docket process will continue
  • If the Delivery Type is Underbond and the Customs Status is SUBUBMOV the delivery docket process will continue

Otherwise a message will pop up showing the current Customs Status.

Do you have a Bonded Warehouse with Bins?

Would you rather use the Delivery Docket to update the warehouse bins instead of the Warehouse Release?

Expedient can now update the bins when the Air Cargo Delivery Docket is printed.  The Branch Masterfile has been updated with a new option in Air Warehouse Information section.

Set the flag to Yes for the Air Cargo Delivery Docket to automatically update the Warehouse Bins.  Expedient will check the Customs Status of the House Bill and check that there are enough pieces in the warehouse.  If the checks are passed (or overridden) Expedient will remove pieces from the bin.  A ‘COUT’ event will be created for the Job and the details will appear in the Check Out screen as though a Warehouse Release was printed and confirmed.

Blocking Printing of Air Cargo Delivery Dockets

Expedient will allow you to create a block on printing an Air Cargo Delivery Docket and store the reason for doing so.  Go to Air Import Forwarding>Air Cargo Reporting>Delivery Blocking – House Bill

Set the Security Access on this screen to ensure that access to Add and Update blocks is restricted.  Refer to the Administrator User Manual for information on Security Access.  When a user tries to print or email the Delivery Docket the following message will pop up

Click the ‘Show Block’ button to see the original Delivery Blocking screen with the reason for the block and the user who added it. If you are privileged user you may have Override capabilities.  Click the Override Block button to continue past the message.

User Override Capability

The ability for selected users to override the stop messages on Customs Status, Storage Start Date and Number of Pieces is determined in the User Masterfile>User Options list.

DD_OVERRIDE must be ticked to see the Override buttons in the pop up messages.  Please note the User Masterfile>User Options can only be updated by a Super User.

Delivery Docket History

Details of each Air and LCL/FAK Delivery Docket generated are stored.  The docket information can be viewed from the Options menu in the Import Job Registration screen ‘Delivery Docket History’.

The Client References and Supplier Invoices listed in the Delivery Docket can be viewed using the Options menu in this screen.

This Delivery Docket History screen allows you to view the details printed on the delivery docket and allow reprint using the toolbar button.

Each delivery docket has a version number and a reprint number e.g. 2.1.  This means the House Bill had two deliveries and the second delivery docket was reprinted.  This information appears in the footer of the printed document.
