Expedient now provides the the ability to receive a scanned Proof of Delivery signature from your Transport Company and automatically store the document to Sea Import Jobs. Expedient can be setup to receive the POD file via FTP.
Provided the PDF has a file name in the following format Expedient store the file to the correct Import Job.
JobPOD_”OrderNumber”-”ContainerKey”_”ContainerNumber”_”CustomerRef”_”DateTimeStamp”.pdf
The assumed format for the DateTimeStamp is YYYYMMDDHHMMSS.
The ”CustomerRef” field represents the Expedient Job Number
The ”ContainerNumber” field represents the Expedient Container Number.
Please note there is dash between ”OrderNumber” and ”ContainerKey”. The rest of the separators are underscores.
A POD event will be created in the Job when the POD is saved to the Job Documents folder.
If Expedient cannot find a Job to store the POD against an email alert will be sent to a designated recipient.
