This release provides the ability to set a default Delivery Type for your client’s Delivery Addresses. This allows the Delivery Type to automatically populate the Import Job, Container Details tab when the delivery address code is added.
The Clients’ Delivery Address screen has been updated with a new Delivery Type field.
Enter the Delivery Type associated with the Delivery Address.
When the Delivery Address code is added to the job, either using the default delivery address for the client or by entering the delivery address code
Any containers added in the Container Details tab will be updated with the default delivery type (if a delivery type has not already been added)
If an EDI Carrier is selected for the job that does not use the delivery type at the destination port Expedient will warn the user that the delivery type should be updated.
On receipt of this error, if you think the Delivery Type is correct, please check the Customer Masterfile for the Carrier and update the Delivery Types and Destination Ports stored for the EDI Carrier.
