This release provides the ability to store Permit/Advice information against a Client. Permits including Australian Customs Permits can be stored with expiry dates within the Customer Masterfile. A report has been added to list Expiring Permits.
The Permits/Advice option is available at Australian sites.
The Permits/Advice screen is available from the Options menu in the Customer Masterfile

This screen lists the Permits/Advice stored for the client. Permits/Advice information can be added here, except for Australian Customs Import Permits which are stored in the Parts Masterfile. Australian Customs Import Permits which are added to Parts during Classification and in the Parts Masterfile can be viewed here but they cannot be added in this screen. Use
in the Type column to see the type of Permits/Advices which can be selected.

The Expiry Date and the Active status for all Permit/Advice types can be updated in this screen. When the Expiry Date is today Expedient will show the Permit information in red and turn the Active flag to No during the next overnight process. The Permit line will show in grey when the Permit is inactive. If a Permit is manually updated from Active flag Yes to No and the Permit is connected to a CP Question, Expedient will, on OK in this screen, look for all the Parts where the answer to that CP Question is stored and remove the Answer and the Permit information. This means than when the Part is next used in a Supplier Invoice incorrect Permit details will not be used.
Changing the Active status from No to Yes will not trigger any automatic processes.
A report can be run, either manually or as an Auto report, to list all permits that have expired or are about to expire.
Use the Menu option, Expiring Permit Report

Enter a Client code and the Expiry Date range. A CSV report will be generated.

The same report can be run from the Automatic Reports menu option. Select report EXPPERMPRT and enter a client code or enter ‘INTERNAL’ to run the report for all clients. Enter an Expiry Date range.
