EXPEDIENT SOFTWARE

Going beyond software performance.

20/05/2026 – Manifest EDI – Coastal and Triangle Shipments can be selected to load in the desired direction

In this release, Expedient is updating Manifest EDI to allow users to be able to determine whether Coastal Shipments or Triangle Shipments can be loaded in as Imports or Exports by default.

Previously, when Coastal Shipments were loaded in via Manifest EDI, they would always default to Export, and Triangle Shipments would always default to Import. In the EDI Configuration screen, there are two new combo boxes

  • Coastal Shipment Direction
  • Triangle Shipment Direction

When a Manifest EDI file loads in a Coastal Shipment (where the Load Port and Discharge/Destination Port are in the same country as the system), then it will load the Job/Consol as an Import or Export based on the value in Coastal Shipment Direction.

When a Manifest EDI file loads in a Triangle Shipment (where the Load Port and Discharge/Destination Port are not in the same country as the system), then it will load the Job/Consol as an Import or Export based on the value in Triangle Shipment Direction.
