This release includes an update to the following screen
- Administration -> Interface -> EDI Configuration -> EDI Configuration
The EDI Configuration screen will now show the ‘Create new suppliers’ combo box.
Where Yes is selected, the screen will display another combo box ‘Create suppliers with External ID’.

Creating Suppliers without External ID
For Import jobs, where the ‘Create new suppliers’ is marked as Yes and the ‘Create suppliers with External ID’ is marked as No, and the <Code> under the <Shipper> parent tag in the XML does not have a record within Expedient, then a new supplier is created. The new supplier is populated with the tags in the XML and also links the Supplier to the Importer. The ‘Supplier’ combo box is also automatically marked as Yes and the ‘Overseas?’ combo box is marked with Yes if the <CountryCode> in the XML is a foreign country or No if the <CountryCode> is your local country.
Additionally, a Code Mapping line is created in the EDI Configuration screen.
Creating Suppliers with External ID
Where the ‘Create suppliers with External ID’ is marked as Yes, then the External ID for the created supplier is also populated and the Code Mapping line is not created on the EDI Configuration screen.
