Release 27/04/22 – Forwarding – Reduced mandatory fields on Job and Consol registration screens and Manifest EDI

This release includes a reduction of mandatory fields needed to create a Job or Consol. This extends to the Manifest EDI process as well.

For the AU Import Sea Consol Registration, the following fields are no longer required to create and save a Consol:

• Bill Type
• Job Class
• Weight
• Volume
• Ocean Cut Date
• ETA Discharge
• ETA Destination
• Currency

For the AU Import Sea Job Registration:

The validation of Manifest EDI file load rules have also changed. The following are no longer required to load a job into Expedient:

  • Shipment Type (was only mandatory for Air previously)
• (House Level)
  • ETA Destination (was only mandatory for Imports previously)
  • Number of pieces
  • Weight (was only mandatory for IMPORT)
  • Broker is no longer mandatory (was only mandatory for IMPORT)
  • Chargeable Weight is no longer mandatory (import air only)
  • Volume is no longer mandatory (import sea only)
  • Shipper Address is no longer mandatory
  • Consignee Address is no longer mandatory

The following are no longer required to load a job straight into the Consol and Job registration screens:
