Release 24/11/21 – Manifest EDI – Error alerts when Manifest XML received from unknown senders

This release includes an update to Manifest EDI to send error alerts to specific users when Manifest XMLs are received from unknown senders

Where Expedient Format Manifest XML and EDI Enterprise (Cargowise) and the sending party is not recognised the Manifest will not be loaded.

Expedient will now send an email alert to selected users, with a copy of the file attached, so that the Manifest EDI configuration can be added, or updated to match the received XML

Sample email alert

Expedient shows the Masterbill Number, Load Port and Destination Port for the Manifest in the email title.  The sender code in the XML that could not be recogised is in the email title and body, e.g. GKGKGK from the screenshot above.

In order to load the manifest, go to Administration -> Interface -> EDI Configuration -> EDI Configuration, and either ADD a new configuration for Inbound Manifest EDI if this is from a new sender, or update an existing Inbound Manifest EDI configuration if the sender is already in Expedient, so that the Trading Partner’s Reference matches the value in the XML

For Expedient Format XML, match the MessageSender value in the XML, e.g.

For EDI Enterprise (Cargowise) XML, match the reference to the EDIOrganisation EDICode value in the XML, e.g.

To receive the email alert, go to Administration -> Corporate -> Users Masterfile, select the User, and go to Options > User Options.  Tick the user option MANEDINOTIF.
