Release 24/11/21 – Expedient and Partner Portal – Maximum concurrent users limit

This release includes an update to how Expedient manages the maximum number of users in both Corporate Expedient and the Partner Portal.

Previously, when sites purchased licenses, the maximum number of users that can be logged in the same time was applied across both Corporate Expedient users and Partner Portal users.

This update creates a maximum concurrent user limit for Partner Portal users separate to the maximum number of Corporate Expedient users.

Similar to Corporate Expedient license limits, the Partner Portal limits are enforced. If the Partner Portal user attempts to log in after the Partner Portal license limit is reached, they will see the following error in the Partner Portal:

Partner Portal administrators can receive an email alert when a Partner Portal user sees this error. A new User Option has been created called “LICE_LIM”. Tick this option to receive

This option will also send an error when Corporate Expedient users are unable to log when the licence limit has been exceeded.

The email notification will specify whether the user attempted to login to the Corporate site or to the Partner Portal. It will also include how to request additional licenses and also following details of the login attempt.

  • Attempt Date
  • Attempt Time
  • User Web Login Email
  • User Full Name
  • Contact Email

For example, if a login attempt was made Corporate site and failed due to exceeded license limit, the user would receive the following email:
