Release 10/10/18 – GST Programs Module – AUS BAS and NZ GST Return Forms.

This release updates the format of the Australian Business Activity Statement (BAS) and the New Zealand GST return form (formally know as the NZ BAS in Expedient).

The new forms reflect the current format of the Australian Taxation office (ATO) BAS calculation sheet and New Zealand’s Inland Revenue Department’s (IRD) GST return form.

ATO BAS:

Note: G9 and G20 contains 2 calculation types.

1: Calculated amounts:  This is the amount using the BAS calculation factor of 11.

2: Actual amount: This is the amount calculated by Expedient, based on the amounts entered into the 2090 to 2099 series GL codes.

GST Return Report window:

New Report window has the addition of two question as reflected on the IDR GST returns form.  The amounts inputted into these fields will be used to support the calculations on the GST return form.  These two fields can be left blank if required.

Users can access the original forms by selecting “Legacy Report” in the report window under Form Type.
