This release includes an update to Transport Booking EDI so that you can configure the outgoing Transport Booking request to Transport Providers using ContainerChain.
The Customer Masterfile > Transport tab > Transport Booking EDI tab has been updated to allow you to set the ‘CustomerRef’ field in the outgoing message
The Customer Ref field will appear in the screen where the Transport Provider System is CONTAINERCHAIN
The CustomerRef in the outgoing message can be set to include just the Expedient Job Number, or include the Expedient Job Number plus the Container Number
Your Transport Provider may be able to accept just the Expedient Job Number and consolidate all the containers on the same Expedient job number into one transport job
Please discuss directly with your Transport Provider if they are able to receive just the Expedient Job Number within the booking request message. Some Transport Providers can e.g. ACFS and Chalmers
If the Transport Provider can accept just the Expedient Job Number, update the Customer Masterfile, and the change will take immediate effect.
