Release 14/01/15 – AU/NZ Export – Air Export Forwarding (ULD Specific Rates)

This release provides the ability to prepare charges for Export Air Jobs with rates appropriate to the ULD type on the Job. The Forwarding Rates screen has been updated to allow the ULD type to be stored for Export Air Rates.

The Export Air Job Registration screen has been updated with a new tab to list the ULD and Charge Weights for the ULDs used.

When the Charges are prepared Expedient will use the approved valid rates for the ULD type if these are specified in the Shipment tab. If there are any valid Export Air rates with a blank ULD Type Expedient will include these as a possible option for autorating.

Select the appropriate line and Expedient will use the Rate ID to generate the Charges. Rate ID 429772 has been used to generate the Charge Lines shown below:

If there are multiple Rates used Expedient will create a total charge for each Charge Code.

A new Method has been added, ‘Per Master Bill’, so that, for example, the Export Document Fee will only be applied once for a MAWB even though two different Rates may be used where different ULD types are in the job. Where the applicable rates for the job have the same Charge Code and they both have Method ‘Per Master Bill’ the greater value for the charge will be applied. For example, this job has two ULD types:

The following Rates IDs are valid and the Export Document Fee charge has a different value:

Preparing Charges for the Job will generate an Export Document Fee once only for AUD22. Expedient has also calculated the total Freight for the Job for the two ULD types.
