Release 28/09/16 – Order Tracking – various enhancements

This release provides a number of updates and functional enhancements to EDI Orders, Orders and Shipments screens

Orders

  • A new option is available to ‘Open Order’.  This is available when viewing a closed order.  On selection the order and all order lines will be set to Open, the Order Closed milestone will be removed and a ‘Closed order Manually opened’ event will be created
  • A new option is available to ‘Close Order’.  This is available when viewing an order that is not closed or cancelled.  When selected you will be asked to confirm you want to close the order.  On selecting yes, Expedient will set the order and all order lines to Closed, created a ‘CLO’ event and pop up the screen to send a notification to the relevant parties
  • A new option is available to ‘Cancel Order Line’.  This is available when viewing an order and highlighting an order line that is not closed or cancelled.  When selected the option will set the Order Line status to Cancelled, update the Cancelled Quantity and Order Quantity, create an Order Line Cancelled event and pop up the screen to send a notification to the relevant parties
  • A new option is available to ‘Reinstate Cancelled Order Line’.  This is available when viewing an order and highlighting an order line that is closed or cancelled.  When selected the option will set the Order Line status to OPEN, update the Cancelled Quantity and Order Quantity and create an Order Updated event
  • The Create Job from Order option has been updated to copy the Notes from the Order to the Job Notes Forwarding tab, instead of the Consol/Job Notes
  • The Trigger Event option has been updated to check that the Order has contacts for the entities selected to receive the notifications.  E.g. if the Customer, OS Agent and Forwarder is ticked to receive a notice and Forwarder has no Personnel to receive the email Expedient will alert you and provide you access to the Personnel Masterfile to add or update the Forwarder Contacts
  • The Order History tab has been updated with a new column to show the email address that received the Action Type ‘Email’
  • New menu options are available to create Multiple Order Notes and Multiple Order Events.

EDI Orders

  • The field ‘Responsible Party’ has been added which zooms on the User Masterfile.  When an EDI Order is received this will be automatically populated by the Forwarding Representative from the Customer Masterfile for the Client, where this is provided.

Shipments

  • There is a count of the orders linked to the Shipment shown in the Orders tab label

  • You can double click on a row in the Orders tab to open up the Order screen at the highlighted Order
  • Responsible Party and Follow up Date have been added as new columns at the end of the Orders table.
  • The zoom in the Orders column will allow selection of multiple orders.  This means you can add more than one order to the Shipment at a time. Expedient will check that the orders you have selected match the Supplier and Transport Mode, the same as if you were adding one Order at a time.

  • The Trigger Order Notifications option has been updated to check that each Order selected has contacts for the entities selected to receive the notifications.  E.g. if the Customer, OS Agent and Forwarder is ticked to receive a notice and one of the Orders on the shipment has no Personnel at the Forwarder to receive the email Expedient will alert you and provide you access to the Personnel Masterfile to add or update the Forwarder Contacts.
  • A ‘Docs’ button has been added to the Shipment screen allowing you to add Shipment related documents.
