Release 120912 – AU/NZ Forwarding – Rates (Preventing Autorating with Expired Forwarding Rates)

This release provides the ability to prevent users applying expired forwarding rates to Import and Export Jobs. If you would like to set your site to prevent users applying expired rates please contact Expedient Software through Support Tracker

Once your site has been set to use valid forwarding rates only, when the user Prepares Charges for Import or Export jobs they will see all rates for the client. If the Date of Departure for the job falls within the date range of the Forwarding rate the rate line will be highlighted in green.

If a user tries to select a line which is not highlighted green they will see a message explaining that the rate has expired and they will not be able to autorate with the selected rate. Users will only be able to Prepare Charges using a rate that is valid for the Date of Departure.

To assist sites to monitor rates a new autoreport has been added, Expiring Forwarding Rates. This report will list, for the selected client, all rates which have already expired within a defined number of days and all rates which are about to expire within a defined number of days.

The autoreport provides a CSV output showing rates in Expiry Date order.
