This release provides an update to the Input Order and Input Shipments screens with additional fields and updated fields to provide better information to your clients.
Orders
The new layout of the Input Orders screen is shown below:

Please note that fields have been moved around and the tabbing order has changed. The following fields have been updated:
- Client: The client cannot be updated after an order has been created
- Supplier: If the Supplier is changed in an existing order you will be reminded to send a cancellation to the old Supplier and a manual confirmation to the new Supplier
- Required in Store: This is now optional. If it is left blank you will be asked when saving a new order, or updating an order if the Required in Store date should be blank
- Transport Mode: This will default to Sea but it can be updated to Air
- Destination Port: This will default to match the Discharge Port but it can be updated
- Overseas Agent: This will default to either the Air or Sea Agent saved for the Supplier in the Supplier Masterfile matching the Transport Mode
- Gross Weight: If the weight is added in lb you will be asked if you want to convert the weight to kg. If you select yes Expedient will calculate and display the weight in kg.
The following new fields have been added to provide greater detail about the Vendor. These fields are optional:
- Vendor Order No
- Vendor Invoice
- Agent Order No
The following field has been added to provide more order information to the client:
- Shipment Type: Select Assembly or Standard
The Shipment Type will appear in the automated notification under the Order Number
e.g.

Order Notes can now be saved for the client in the Customer Masterfile. Add the Notes in the Customer Masterfile in the Orders Tab.

These notes can be triggered to appear when a new Order is added or when an existing Order is updated for the Client.
Update the Customer Masterfile, Configuration tab and set the Import Order Registration Pop Up to Yes.

The Notes can be viewed and added to while in the Order screen by clicking on the
toolbar button in the Input Order screen.
Shipments
The Input Shipments screen has been updated to allow multiple Client References to be added to a Shipment. The Client References can be added when a Job has been created or linked to the Shipment. Click on Options and ‘Add/View Customer References’

Click
to add the Customer References.

You can search on Client References by using the option ‘Find Shipment by Client Ref.’
Enter a Customer Code and a Reference Number, or just a Reference Number, to find all Shipments linked to the Client Reference. Wildcards can be used in the Reference Number field to search for Shipments. Please refer to the Getting Started User Manual for information on using wildcards in Finding a Record.
