In this release, we have decoupled Booking EDI from order tracking. This provides all customers who have purchased the forwarding module, the ability to have their clients load Booking XML’s into Expedient.
Booking EDI set up is accessed via Administration -> Interface -> Inbound -> Import Booking EDI Setup.
If you have the order tracking module, you can also access this via a toolbar option on the customer import order tracking set up screen.
There are three ways that your client can upload the XML file to Expedient:
- Write file to Server
- FTP
Depending on which is selected, a range of mandatory fields will appear for you to specify the location.
The booking XML format must match the Expedient requirements. Details of the client set up, the XML format and Rules behind the upload are all provided in detail in the Administration Manual. If you would like a sample XML file, please raise a support ticket.
