Release 17/02/21 – eCommerce – Load Manifest Line (Sea)

In this release, Load Manifest Line (Sea) function will be added to eCommerce customer. This function allows a file with one or many Master Bills to be loaded into Expedient to create Consols, Jobs and Sea Cargo Reports.

The acceptable upload file formats as below:

  • CSV (Comma Delimited)
  • CSV (Semicolon Delimited)
  • XLS
  • XLSX

Users are able to create and save multiple load template in the system.

In order to create a new template, users are required to click “Edit” next to the Template name field.

When “Edit” is clicked, a new screen similar to below will display. Users are able to create their own mapping template.

  • The table on the left-hand side is the mapping table for the template.
  • The table on the right-hand side is the table for all available fields for mapping.
  • “File contains column headings?” indicates if the upload file has header line.

After successfully loading the data into Expedient, the Load Manifest Lines (Sea) will automatically:

  1. Create a Consol for each Master Bill in the file,
  2. Create an Sea Cargo Report for each shipment on the Master Bill,
  3. Create a Job that consolidates all Cargo Reports flagged as a Self-Assessed Clear on each House Bill Line and;
    1. If the House Bill value is equivalent to AU$1000 or less, and contains no ‘Stop Words’ in the Goods Description, the Cargo Report will automatically set SAC indicator as Yes.
  4. Create a Job per non-SAC shipment on each Master that requires a Formal Import Customs Entry

Many Sea Cargo Reports can be validated and submitted in one click or automatically submitted to Customs as part of the load process.
