This release provides the ability to automatically create events in Orders, Bookings, Jobs and Consol screens when specific documents are added to these areas. This means when a document is received to a job, consol, order or booking, a specific event can be automatically triggered to update job tracking and workflow
The events can be linked to specific documents within Administration -> Document Management -> Document ID Masterfile
- UPDATE
- Highlight the document type in the top table
- Go to the Document Category tab in the bottom half of the screen
- Select the registration screen where the event should be created
- Assign an event to the registration screen by selecting from the zoom in the ‘Event Created on Receipt of Document’ column, or use the Add button in the zoom to create a new event code
- Save
For example, the screenshot below indicates that receival of a Prealert document to an Import Job will create a ‘Prealert Received’ event
The configured events will be created when document files are manually assigned a document type code to a file in the Documents tab i.e. using ‘drag and drop’ or the
buttons in the Documents tab to assign a document type code
doc1.pdf is added to an Import Job and assigned the PAL document type
On OK, the PREAR event is created in the Import Job
The Document Events will also be created by

- The PDF Merge and Split options in the Documents tags when a document type code is assigned to the new pdf files
- Documents copied between Orders, Bookings and Jobs where the document file has a document type code. Expedient will create an appropriate event in the order, consol, booking or job the document is copied to
