Release 05/05/20 – Administration – Masterfile Management – Customer Masterfile

On this release, the Customer Masterfile Security Permissions have been ammended as a result of Suppliers being migrated to the Customer Masterfile.

A new User option has ben created called “CMFSECCTRL”

When activated against your site, a user that has the ability to Add/Update in the Customer Masterfile with this option turned on against their profile, will allow them to Add/Update all Company types, including the following Company Types:

  • Importer
  • Exporter
  • Debtor
  • Creditor

For those users who only require the ability to add, for example Suppliers(or any non-billing related party) via the Customer Masterfile, then DO NOT add the CMFSECCTRL to their user option. If they have the ability to Update in the Customer Masterfile, and do not have this option, they will not be able to add/update the 4 company types.

If they attempt to add or update any of the 4 above company types, they will receive the following system prompt

If they try and add in the Customer Masterfile for the same 4 Company types they well see these company type disabled.

These users that do not have this CMFSECCTRL option will not see the Creditor/Debtor related fields in the browse, nor will they have access to the Debtors/Creditors Enquiry Screen

For assistance on activating this, please contact our Support Number or Raise a ticket quoting “CMFSECCTRL”
