Release 13/12/17 – Air and Sea Export Forwarding – Transport Tab

This release provides an update to the Export Forwarding screen for Air and Sea Export Jobs to store more information on the transport legs, pick up and delivery, and to store dangerous goods details

Transport Tab 

The Air and LCL Transport tab replaces the Export Cartage Docket screen and allows pick up and delivery details to be entered for multiple journey legs.  On creating a new Job the first journey leg can be populated automatically as follows:

  • Pick up Address – Default address for the Shipper
  • Delivery Address – Default address for the Receiving Terminal/LCL Depot on the Job
  • Transport Type – default Transport type stored for the default Address for the Shipper
  • Transport Provider – default Transport Provider for the Shipper matching the Export Job Type and Origin Port

The Responsible for Transport flag has been moved from the Cartage Docket screen to this tab, in the top right corner

Dangerous Goods flag in the Job tab

The Goods group in the Job tab for Air Export Jobs, includes new Dangerous Goods fields.  Set the Dangerous Goods flag to Yes to see the DG Class, UNDG No. and Hazardous Description fields.  Use the zoom in the DG Class field to populate all the fields from the UN Dangerous Goods classifications

The Dangerous Goods Information for Export Sea LCL Sea Export jobs remain unchanged and is stored in the containers tab

FCL 

Transport Tab 

The Transport tab replaces the Export Cartage Docket screen and allows pick and delivery details to be entered for multiple journey legs including empty container yard to shipper / full delivery from shipper to terminal.  On creating a new Job the full delivery tab of the journey leg can be populated automatically as follows:

  • Pick up Address – Default address for the Shipper
  • Delivery Address – Default address for the Receiving Terminal on the Job
  • Transport Type – default Transport type stored for the default Address for the Shipper
  • Transport Provider – default Transport Provider for the Shipper matching the Export Job Type and Origin Port

Enter the Empty by entering the depot code in the Empty Depot field or selecting zoom.   The Address search screen has been updated to allow you to select any Client Code (use Re-Query or F5) to search by Business Name etc.  The Addresses stored for the customer code will be listed in the bottom half of the screen.  Double click on the row or click OK to select the Delivery Address into the Empty Depot field.  If the customer code has only one address the address will be automatically selected into the Transport tab.

When the job is flagged as containing Dangerous Goods you can add the Commodity Details at Container Level. This data will populate into the PRA screen.

When the Container is a Reefer Container you can add the Temperature details at Container Level

Export Container Management 

Container Management screen is available for Export Containers by double clicking on the container in the containers tab, or via the main menu: Container Management > Export Containers > Export Container Management
