In this release, we have continued to update the new Spot Quote screens (Rates -> Spot Quote)
- Users are now able to turn Export Air and Export Sea Spot Quotes into Jobs, using the same process as the import spot quotes.
- Users can now manage the unlink process of unlinking spot quotes from Jobs
Creating Export Jobs:
To create an Export Job out of an Export Spot Quote, simply make sure the quote has the status ‘Accepted’ and hit the ‘Create Job’ button. Users will be presented with a few popups to ensure the job has valid data (eg. Shipper must be an Active Customer, Forwarder / O/S Agent must have the correct Company Types, etc).
The event ‘JLSP – JOB LINKED TO QUOTE’ event will be created for both import and export job screens, as well as the Spot Quote screen. The reference for the event will be the Job/Spot Quote number.
Please Note:
To add charges to an Export Job, the fields House PPD or House CCX must be entered, therefore before users can save their job, they must enter one/both of these fields. Entering a customer in either of these fields will make the entered customer the Bill To Party of all charge lines, as well as change the PP/CC (Prepaid/Collect) value on all lines (House PPD = Prepaid, House CCX = Collect).
Unlinking Spot Quotes from Jobs:
Users can Unlink their spot quote from their job, in either the Job screen or the Spot Quote screen. From the Spot Quote screen, simply select the ‘Link’ top menu option of a linked quote and select the ‘Unlink’ button. Users can decide if they wish to allow some or all of their users the ability to Unlink spot
quotes from Jobs with Posted invoices against it, through the system option SQ_unlinkjob. Please contact your administration if this is something you wish to set up.
When unlinking a spot quote from its job, users may receive various prompts. If a linked job has spot quote charges against it (can be identified by the Job’s charge line status ‘Spot Quote’), users will be asked whether they’d like to delete such charges. If users do not delete these spot quote charges, the Spot Quote status will become Manual.
Users may also unlink a spot quote from a job from the linked Job screen. Users may do so by selecting the Unlink Spot Quote button in the top menu bar’s ‘Link’ menu option. The same rules as above applies. When users unlink a spot quote from a job, the following occurs:
- Event: SPUJ is triggered on both the Job and quote screen. The reference= the Job number on the
spot quote screen and the spot quote number on the job screen - The VIEW JOB button becomes CREATE JOB once again on the spot quote screen.
